Hello, I am Harsh Sheth. As of Fall of 2019, I am a second year doctoral student under the Industrial Engineering and Operations Research department at Columbia University, and a budding student of the Japanese language who is loving every minute of it! I was introduced to Japanese culture at a very early age through rewatching Naruto episodes when I was as little as 12 years old. However, I was only introduced to the Japanese language when I started watching those same Naruto episodes in Japanese at age 16. Since then, I have watched thousands of hours worth of anime, and have come to adore both the culture and the language. I was able to pick up a few words and sentences here and there, however, I was deeply unsatisfied with how unstructured and limited knowledge of Japanese was.
